The MIT firsted launch the massive open online course (MOOC) in 2002. A few years later, others leading universities launched their own MOOC, Coursera (Stanford & al.), EdX (Harvard & MIT) which are today the most important one.

Humans seem to have adapted to a diet quite omnivorous. Which means, to get all the nutrients he needs, he should eat a variety of food: fruits, grains, vegetables, tubers, molluscs, meat and fish. But, this diet isn't without consequences. The evolution would have left us torn between the pleasure of variety and the comfort of the familiar. Is this what we mean by the omnivore's dilemma? Luc-Alain Giraldeau explains this dilemma to the radio broadcast Bien dans son assiette.

On July 1st, Tamer Boyaci has been promoted Full Professor from the Desautels Faculty of Management of McGill University.

Guy Desaulniers, Department of Mathematical and Industrial Engineering, Polytechnique Montréal, will be in sabbatical leave from June 15, 2013 to June 14, 2014.
