At the 4th International Conference on Big Data Analysis and Data Mining held in Paris on September 7-8, Pierre Hansen received a certificate of recognition for his phenomenal and worthy Plenary talk on "Two applications of variable neighborhood search in data mining".

Full Professor Gilbert Laporte has been proclaimed the world’s most productive and influential author in operations research and management science by Omega – The International Journal of Management Science.

His 299 publications and 7,486 citations in specialized journals in these two fields earned him his first place in this ranking drawn up in co-operation with the Web of Science (WoS) database.

Mohammed Saddoune from University of Hassan II Casablanca, Morroco, will be at the GERAD until August 30.

PhD student Gabrielle Trudeau has just received a major scholarship for her research into energy commodities. The $25,000 scholarship is awarded annually by the Montréal TMX exchange to a doctoral student conducting innovative research into derivatives.
