Even though the 16th Copper Mountain Conference On Iterative Methods was canceled, the selection of the winners of the Student Paper Competition was completed. After careful review of all the submissions, the committee has selected Alexis Montoison as one of the winners.

Two students of Polytechnique Montréal, Alexis Montoison (supervised by Dominique Orban) and Pierre-Yves Bouchet (supervised by Charles Audet), won the second prize in the individual category at the 10th Competitive Mathematical Game. These games, organized by the French Federation of Mathematical Games (FFJM) and the Society of Mathematical Calculation SA (SCM), are to solve a social problem.
A scholarship of $3500 will be attributed to:

The winners of the 2014 COIN-OR Cup are Mehdi Towhidi and Dominique Orban, developers of CyLP and both from Polytechnique Montréal. The tenth annual COIN-OR Cup was awarded at a celebration during the INFORMS Annual meeting in San Francisco, California on November 10, 2014.
