Title: La méthode des résidus conjugués pour calculer les directions en optimisation continue
Two scholarships of $10 000 each respectively will be attributed to:
- Samuel Goyette, M.Sc. student, cosupervised by Jean-Pierre Dussault and Dominique Orban;
- Marie Pied, M.Sc. student, cosupervised by Miguel Anjos and Roland Malhamé.
Two students of Polytechnique Montréal, Alexis Montoison (supervised by Dominique Orban) and Pierre-Yves Bouchet (supervised by Charles Audet), won the first prize in the individual category at the 9th Competitive Mathematical Game. These games, organized by the French Federation of Mathematical Games (FFJM) and the Society of Mathematical Calculation SA (SCM), are to solve a social problem.
