IVADO funding program for excellence scholarships – MSc
Two students of Polytechnique Montréal, Alexis Montoison (supervised by Dominique Orban) and Pierre-Yves Bouchet (supervised by Charles Audet), won the second prize in the individual category at the 10th Competitive Mathematical Game. These games, organized by the French Federation of Mathematical Games (FFJM) and the Society of Mathematical Calculation SA (SCM), are to solve a social problem.

Dominique Orban, Associate Professor at Polytechnique Montréal and GERAD member, has just published with Mario Arioli the book "Iterative Solution of Symmetric Quasi-Definite Linear Systems" at SIAM.

Congratulations to Kenjy Demeester, M.Sc. student at Polytechnique Montréal supervised by Dominique Orban, who obtained the 2015 Rio Tinto Graduate Scholarship of $18,000.
The winners of the 2014 COIN-OR Cup are Mehdi Towhidi and Dominique Orban, developers of CyLP and both from Polytechnique Montréal. The tenth annual COIN-OR Cup was awarded at a celebration during the INFORMS Annual meeting in San Francisco, California on November 10, 2014.
