Applications

GERAD not only undertakes theoretical and methodological developments along our four axes: one of its defining characteristics is the deployment of such methods in large fields of application, seven of which are outlined here.

These domains of application are integrated into our research axes in several distinct ways. On the one hand, an application domain may call upon several types of decisions. On the other hand, the resolution of practical problems in one domain often leads to new research questions, that in turn stimulate developments in mathematics, opening the way to resolution of other problems (in the same or another domain).
