On June 1st, 2016, Michel Denault has been promoted Full Professor from the Department of Management Sciences of HEC Montréal.
Full Professor Gilbert Laporte has been proclaimed the world’s most productive and influential author in operations research and management science by Omega – The International Journal of Management Science.
His 299 publications and 7,486 citations in specialized journals in these two fields earned him his first place in this ranking drawn up in co-operation with the Web of Science (WoS) database.

Title: User-oriented demand response for smart buildings
PhD student Gabrielle Trudeau has just received a major scholarship for her research into energy commodities. The $25,000 scholarship is awarded annually by the Montréal TMX exchange to a doctoral student conducting innovative research into derivatives.
Giulia Zarpellon, a PhD student directed by Andrea Lodi, received an honorable mention for her poster presentation entitled "Learning a Classification of Mixed-Integer Quadratic Programming Problems" at the 2017 Mixed Integer Programming Workshop held in Montréal.
