PhD student Gabrielle Trudeau has just received a major scholarship for her research into energy commodities. The $25,000 scholarship is awarded annually by the Montréal TMX exchange to a doctoral student conducting innovative research into derivatives.

Two scholarships of $10 000 each respectively will be attributed to:

- Thiago Pereira, cosupervised by Daniel Aloise and Andrea Lodi.

Miguel F. Anjos, Full Professor at Polytechnique Montréal and GERAD member, has just published with Tamás Terlaky and Shabbir Ahmed the book "Advances and Trends in Optimization with Engineering Applications" at SIAM.
Starting June 1st, 2017, Mr. Jean-Philippe Waaub will be the new Vice-Dean of Research for the Faculty of Humanities of the Université du Québec à Montréal. He will take charge of Mr. Joseph Yvon Thériault’ work which is at this position since June 2014.
