Pierre L'Écuyer, associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Operations Research at the University of Montreal, has been awarded the title of Professor Emeritus. This title is granted to faculty members who have served the University for at least 10 years and whose contributions to teaching, research, and the development and reputation of the institution have been exceptional.
Several GERAD researchers feature prominently in a ranking that considers the international influence of scientists in all fields. The list was compiled by a research team from Stanford University and Dutch publisher Elsevier, and updated in September 2025.
Research.com, a leading academic platform for researchers, released in November 2024 the 4th edition of its ranking of the best scientists in several fields.
