Structure et faisabilite d'un modèle MARKAL-CANADA regionalise

BibTeX reference

This paper consists in a preliminary study for the assessment of the advantages and feasibility of a regionalized energy model for Canada, based on the MARKAL modelling approach. One first looks at the current energy exchanges between the canadian regions; the considerable regional differences in primary sources and in energy consumption are shown through a series of statistics. A global energy model which would explicitly take into account the energy exchange activities is then proposed; the variables and the constraints to include in this model are specified. The optimization techniques necessary for the treatment of such a large model are also considered. The report concludes with a positive evaluation of the feasibility of the proposed modelling.
