Adaptation and mitigation strategies against climate change: A survey of game theoretic models
and
BibTeX referenceIn addressing climate change, countries rely on two primary strategies: mitigation, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and adaptation, which seeks to minimize the adverse effects of climate-related impacts. It is widely recognized that these two strategies should be implemented in tandem to effectively combat global warming. This paper reviews the existing literature on the strategic interplay between mitigation and adaptation, with a particular focus on how adaptation -when treated as a private good - affects the strategic behavior of countries confronting climate change as a global public bad.
