Improving greening activities in manufacturing firms plays a major role in decreasing hazardous environmental impacts of the products and increasing social welfare. I consider a dyadic online to offline closed loop supply chain composed of a manufacturer and a retailer for trading a single green product. I then formulate government direct limitation by determining certain thresholds for products' green level. With the aim of maximizing social welfare, I analyze the effects of government anticipated greening level and different goal-seeking behaviours on members' optimal decisions and profit.
