Janosch Ortmann received the prestigious 2026 George Pólya Prize in Mathematics, alongside Professors Duncan Dauvergne and Bálint Virág, both professors at the University of Toronto, at the annual meeting of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), which took place July 6–10 in Cleveland, United States. He was awarded this prestigious international honor for a major breakthrough in probability theory.
