Digital intelligence at the forefront of discussions on reducing greenhouse gas emissions
GERAD is pleased to highlight the recent publication of an article in The Conversation on the ambivalent role of digital intelligence in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The article highlights a major paradox: while digital technologies—including artificial intelligence, modeling, and big data—offer powerful tools for optimizing energy systems, they also rely on infrastructure that itself generates emissions and environmental impacts.
