Starting June 1st, 2017, Mr. Jean-Philippe Waaub will be the new Vice-Dean of Research for the Faculty of Humanities of the Université du Québec à Montréal. He will take charge of Mr. Joseph Yvon Thériault’ work which is at this position since June 2014.

Shazmane Mandjee, M.Sc. student at UQÀM directed by Jean-Philippe Waaub, won the Jean-Pierre Brans Award for best lecture presented at the 2016 PROMETHEE Days on May 4.

The MSc in Administration program management of HEC Montréal had listed 20 of their students at the Honour Roll for the winter 2012 term, three of them are from GERAD:
Pierre-Henri Bombenger, supervised by Jean-Philippe Waaub, Corinne Larrue and Maurice Blanc, is the winner of the 2012 Special Award given by the CNFPT (Centre National de la Fonction Publique Territoriale), for his thesis in Spatial Planning - Urbanism, intitled: "L’urbanisme en campagne. Pratiques de planification des sols et d’aide à la décision dans des communes rurales françaises".
Last March, the GERAD executive board officially announced Jean-Philippe Waaub (UQAM) as director of the Center from May 1st to April 30th 2015.
