The city of Grenoble offers a variety of hotels for all budgets. The historic center hosts most of the historical and touristic attractions. It is closed to cars. Visitors travelling with public transport are advised to stay in the center of Grenoble, in the geographical area bordered by the Isère river to the north to the Boulevard Foch to the south, and it spans East-West between the "Cours Jean Jaurès" and the "Maréchal Leclerc".

Grenoble university can be reached by public transport using tramway (line A and C). Below are the name of three hotels with specific discounts for the conference.

Okko Hotel (link)

Very confortable rooms. It is at the heart of a former military area that has been fully remodeled from 2004 to become the first « eco district » of France. The hotel is located at 1.3 km from Grenoble train station. It is recommended to walk from the station (about 20 mins), or to take a taxi (10 to 15 euros depending on day and time). It is 400 m from the tramway station « Gustave Rivet » that goes to the university campus in 13 mins.

The rooms are fully furnished, including a small kitchen where guest can cook their own meals. Nearby touristic attractions include « place Verdun » with its historical buildings, Grenoble botanical garden, and the « parc Mistral » which hosts the olympic cauldron of the Winter Olympics of 1968.
The hotel is located at 1.7 km from Grenoble train station. It is easily reached by tramway line A (stop « Chavant »).
The university campus can be reached from tramway line A (stop « Chavant ») in about 10 mins.

This is a standard hotel, near Okko hotel (see above). It is located at 1.5 km from Grenoble train station. It is recommended to walk from the station (about 20 mins), or to take a taxi (10 to 15 euros depending on day and time). It is a few steps away from the tramway station « Gustave Rivet » that goes to the university campus in 13 mins.
