Accommodation

The workshop takes place at the Centre Paul Langevin where also all participants will stay. We will take care of the reservations for everybody. Please send us as soon as possible an email stating your arrival and departure dates. Note that the centre offers a limited number of single rooms which will be assigned in priority to senior participants.

The room prices are: 42,21 euros per night for a single room and 30,25 euros per night for a double room. You will have to pay for the room charges and the breakfasts (5,38 euros each) which are not included in the registration fee.

How to get to Aussois

By air:
Aussois is less than 2 hours' drive away from the Lyon, Genève, Chambéry, Annecy, Grenoble or Torino airports. Trains and buses can also take you to Aussois from these airports.

By train:
Aussois is 7 km away from the Modane train station. By TGV link, Aussois is 4 hours away from Paris. All through the year, fast trains and international express trains like the Paris-Rome or Lyon-Milan stop at Modane.

SNCF (French National Train Service)  (Phone: 877-RAILPASS)
The SNCF is the French national train system (including The TGV, the high speed train). Connections to Modane are available. You can check the web sites for schedules, but you may not actually be able to reserve seats ahead of time (depending on the country you are in). Typically, tickets/reservations can be made at the train stations on the day of departure, but in some cases (especially for the TGV) reservations are required ahead of time. If you are in the US, contacting a travel agent for train reservations/tickets is probably the best option.

Transavoie offers bus service from Modane to Aussois. Check their web site or call for reservations.

By road:
Via the A43 or A41 alpine motorways from Genève, Lyon, Valence, exit at Modane - Haute-Maurienne Vanoise, then on the N6 to Modane. Aussois is 7km away (D215). Depending on snow conditions, access is possible via the great alpine Mont Cenis, Iseran or Galibier cols. Aussois is 107 km away from Chambéry, 145 km away from Grenoble, 200 km away from Lyon and 110 km away from Torino.
