Solving Large-Scale Continuous Optimization Problems with Ipopt
Andreas Wächter, IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, NY, USA

In this tutorial, we will provide an introduction to the open source software package Ipopt for large-scale nonlinear optimization. While some background information on the underlying algorithm and typical real-world applications will be given, the main goal is to provide information so that participants will be able to install and use the software for their own purposes, either in connection with a modeling language (such as AMPL) or programming code (such as C++). Example problems will be solved, in order to provide some modeling and usage advice. The project's URL is: http://www.coin-or.org/Ipopt.
