Courte biographie : Remy Spliet is a PhD student at the Econometric Institute at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, and student of the research school ERIM, under the supervision of Prof. dr. ir. Rommert Dekker and dr. Adriana F. Gabor. His research project focuses on robust scheduling in distribution networks. More specifically, he develops and analyses new models for vehicle routing with stochastic demand.

Luis F. Zuluaga, Lehigh University
Courte biographie : Luis F. Zuluaga earned his Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University. Luis also has a Master degree in Industrial Engineering, and Bachelor degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Los Andes (Colombia). Currently, Luis is serving as an Assistant Professor at the Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) Department, Lehigh University. Prior to joining the ISE Department, he served as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration, University of New Brunswick (Canada). Luis has authored multiple articles in journals such as Operations Research, SIAM Journal on Optimization, and Mathematics of Operations Research. The recipient of numerous awards, honors, and grants, Luis' research looks at developing solution schemes and effective algorithms for problems involving optimization over polynomials; especially those arising from integer programming, probability, and finance applications. Besides his academic work, Luis has served as consultant to organizations such as the State Department of Colombia, General Re-New England Asset Management Inc., IBM Global Business Services, and PricewaterhouseCoopers for the deployment of decision-making support tools.
