Deep learning for natural language processing

21 juin 2018   10h30 — 11h30

Eraldo R. Fernandes Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso do Sul, Brésil

Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods has been achieving impressive results on many complex tasks ranging from playing games like Go and Dota2 to computational vision problems like facial and object recognition to computational linguistic problems like machine translation and voice recognition. Most recent results have been produced by deep learning systems which are based on machine learning and neural networks.

In this talk, I will summarize machine learning, deep learning and how these techniques are applied to textual problems. I will also present some projects developed by our natural language processing team in the AI lab at UFMS, Brazil. These projects comprise applications to sentiment analysis and entity identification; and also some more basic topics related to the machine learning problem itself.

Entrée gratuite.
