GERAD Professors Win the 2009 ROADEF Challenge

A team of three HEC Montréal professors, of which two members of the GERAD, Jean François Cordeau, Canada Research Chair in Logistics and Transportation, and Gilbert Laporte, Canada Research Chair in Distribution Management, as well as a CIRRELT analyst won the 2009 ROADEF Challenge among 29 teams from 15 countries.

The ROADEF Challenge is a biennial international competition dedicated to industrial applications. A decision-making problem to be solved: managing disruptions in the aviation industry. Organized by the Société française de recherche opérationnelle et d’aide à la décision, the ROADEF Challenge looks at the development of optimization tools for industrial problem solving.

Congratulations to our two members!
