LaTex packages for Slides and Pictures

LaTeX is not used exclusively to write text. It can also generate slides. In this seminar a brief introduction to the beamer package is provided.
Another useful element of a thesis is pictures. A brief introduction to Tikz (a package for drawing pictures) is provided. A particular emphasis is laid on the library called automata that enables drawing graphs and trees.
