An overview of the developments in resampling methods in complex surveys is presented. Discussion will include the jackknife, bootstrap, balanced repeated replications, balanced bootstrap, random grouping and related topics, partially balanced repeated replications, and relationships and comparisons between them. Notions of replicate weights, publicly released data and data disclosure issues will be touched upon. Some things have been accomplished, some are still being considered and some challenges still remain.
