International minerals innovation institute’s value to stakeholders - Collaboration enables building an innovation ecosystem

Engin Özberk International Minerals Innovation Institute (IMII), Canada

Engin joined IMII in June 2013. Before that, he was the Vice President, Technology & Innovation of Cameco. He worked for Sherritt, the SNC Group, Noranda and Etibank. He has more than 40 years of research and engineering projects management experience in light metals, base metals, potash, uranium and nuclear industries. Recently he has been focusing on education, training, innovation and research management. He has authored or coauthored more than 40 papers and is a Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (CIM) Fellow. He is a recipient of several prestigious awards from CIM/METSOC, TMS of USA and the Canadian Nuclear Society. He has been serving at several Boards and advisory committees. He is a founding member of International Minerals Innovation Institute, Canada Mining Innovation Council, and Light Metals Section of the Metallurgical Society of CIM.
